Based in Minocqua, Wisconsin, J.W. Austin Associates provides select land surveying services in northern Wisconsin and several western states. Holding licenses in Wisconsin, Alaska, Arizona and Idaho, the professionals at J.W. Austin Associates have experience that promotes cost effective, unique solutions to the most challenging land surveying projects.
With most of our projects in the Wisconsin counties of Oneida, Vilas, Price and Iron, and within the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, we have developed methods and employed technology that allows us to work efficiently in the sometimes challenging environment of northern Wisconsin.
Some of the services we provide...
Federal Authority Cadastral Surveys
With considerable experience working in the Public Land Survey System, Mr. Austin was selected as one of the "Beta Test Group" of the "Certified Federal Surveyor Program" (CFedS) and was awarded certificate number 1012 upon successful completion of the program in May of 2007.
Tribal Administrative Surveys
As a result of our involvement in the CFedS program, J.W. Austin Associates has been fortunate enough to provide surveying services to the Land Management and Planning departments of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians on several occasions.
State Authority Boundary Surveys
Licensed in Wisconsin since 1986, Mr. Austin has been involved in all aspects of state authority surveys including ALTA surveys, state subdivisions, certified survey maps and condominium surveys. With his expertise centered on the Public Land Survey System, Mr. Austin provides consulting services to other surveyors and the legal profession.
Global Positioning System Control Surveys
Equipped with the latest GPS satellite positioning devices, J.W. Austin Associates employs this technology to complete your project in the most efficient and precise manner possible. Experienced in the use of GPS in forested areas, we can safely implement this equipment in less than ideal conditions.
Protect your rights!
Buying real estate is probably the most significant financial commitment a person will make in a lifetime. It makes sense to protect that investment against unforeseen title and boundary problems.
Insist on a survey by a registered land surveyor before the real estate closing so you can find out about potential problems before you sign the papers.
